Gillette grew up in Houston and graduated from Baylor University in 1984 with a BBA in Accounting and Finance. He subsequently earned his CPA designation and pursued a career in public and private accounting, and later, served as the CFO of a privately-owned manufacturing company in Del Rio, TX. Gillette decided to pursue a lifelong calling when, in 1999, he became a financial advisor.

Gillette gained his CFP® certification in 2001 and his CPWA® certification in 2018, and for the better part of two decades he has dedicated himself to helping people navigate their financial futures. He considers it a privilege to be counted upon as a trusted source of advice by his clients, many of whom he has come to know as dear friends.

Within the community, Gillette serves as chairman of the board for HeartGift Houston, a nonprofit that provides life-saving heart surgery to children from around the world who don't have access to specialized medical treatment. He is also a proud supporter of several art museums and non-profit organizations in Taos, NM, whose work promotes awareness and appreciation of local artists in Taos and Northern New Mexico.

Gillette and his wife, Molly, have three adult children and two English Cream Golden Retrievers. His favorite activities include golf, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors.

Stephen Ellsworth, QPFC

Stephen grew up in North East Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He began his career in banking in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, before transitioning to a management position in manufacturing, serving the Texas and Louisiana markets. In 2004, Stephen decided to pursue his true passion and became a financial advisor.

Stephen’s team is one of twelve teams at Baird holding the Senior QPCG title. The Baird Senior QPC Group specializes in the management, design and maintenance of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. This group was launched in 2008 with the purpose of providing qualified plan clients with the most credentialed, knowledgeable and qualified advisors in the industry. For over a decade, he has focused on growing the AGC SWC 401(k) plan, which now includes over 120 corporate plans across the Southwest with over 9,000 participants.

Stephen lives in Pearland with his wife, Rachel. He enjoys most anything outdoors and is an avid Houston Astros fan. His older son, Carson, recently graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University; his younger son, Tanner, attends Trinity University. Stephen is active in the community, including having served as Finance Chairman at his church and Finance Chair of the Pearland High School Cross Country Booster Club.

Beau Burns, CFP®, CPWA®

Beau began his career in wealth management at Baird in 2014. He is a proud graduate of Wake Forest University, where he majored in English and minored in French and Film Studies. Beau also earned a Master of Arts in Education at WFU, making him a Double Deac.

Beau's focus is helping successful families navigate the challenges and complexities that accompany significant wealth. This involves planning in a number of areas, including investments, tax, legacy, and family dynamics. Often, the need for this kind of advanced planning stems from the sale of a privately-held business, an inheritance, or lucrative equity compensation. Beau takes a highly consultative approach to his practice, working closely with clients and coordinating services with subject matter experts.

Beau earned his CFP® certification in 2017 and his CPWA® certification in 2022. He also holds a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning through the College for Financial Planning. His research on retirement planning has been featured in The Journal of Financial Service Professionals, and he regularly publishes articles on his blog, Beau Knows. He currently serves on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Winston-Salem.

Outside of work, Beau spends most of his time with his beautiful wife and three children. Not one to sit in front of a screen any more than he has to, Beau enjoys playing golf, running, and staying active.

Marcus Fair, CFP®, QPFC

Prior to joining Baird in 2018, Marcus worked in banking in the Milwaukee area. It was there he discovered his passion for helping individuals and families make financial decisions. This led him on a path to becoming a Financial Advisor.

Marcus holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and provides comprehensive financial planning advice to his clients. Additionally, he holds the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant designation and is a leader in the retirement plan space with the Diagrid Group. Marcus and his group manage over 150 corporate retirement plans throughout the country. 

Marcus graduated from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI with a BA in Business Administration. Marcus was captain of the Men’s Basketball team that won two conference championships during his time there. In addition to being a huge Chicago sports fan, Marcus enjoys traveling, attending live sporting events, and spending time with friends & family.
